While the overall market has yet to reach previous peaks, the Cincinnati Business Courier reports area stocks collectively hit their highest levels of all time on July 17^th, and again on July 18^th.  Our Jim Russell is quoted as saying “Many of the numbers are exceptional.” But he adds, he is not too surprised by the results. “The stocks at the top have reported consistent and strong earnings gains,” Russell said. “And several are not economically sensitive.”

Russell adds, the best performers have another key trait in common, “Those companies at the top are exceptionally well-managed. They have responsible, strong leaders who manage the company for long-term shareholder value. We think that kind of leadership matters.”
