The Dividend Corner: 3Q2026 Mid Quarter Update

When Signals Reverse

Markets have kept climbing, but the tensions beneath the surface haven’t disappeared — they’ve just shifted shape. This quarter, we revisit four signals from our last letter: the Fed held rates in July, but only narrowly; the Middle East ceasefire proved fragile before diplomacy resumed; market breadth has broadened meaningfully, with most S&P 500 stocks now above their 200-day average; and concentration in Tech and AI-adjacent names remains historically high at roughly half the index.

3Q2026 Mid-Quarter Update

The signals are changing. Our philosophy isn’t. As market leadership broadens and concentration remains high, we believe investors may be entering an environment that reinforces the value of the principles that have long guided our approach: durable businesses, growing cash flows, disciplined valuation and thoughtful diversification. Rather than requiring a change in philosophy, these shifting market dynamics may create a more favorable backdrop for the characteristics we have long emphasized.

The Dividend Corner: 2Q2026 Review & Outlooks

In periods of rapid market change, discipline can matter more than prediction. This quarter’s Dividend Corner examines the tensions beneath a market defined by competing narratives—new index highs alongside deteriorating internals, and genuine AI-driven transformation alongside valuations that require it to stay on schedule.
